Mayme L. Aschbacher, 83, died Sunday (April 12, 1992) in her home. Mrs. Aschbacher was born June 10, 1908, in Roswell, N.M., and was brought up on a homestead southeast of Elida. She later lived on a ranch in Floyd, where she graduated from high school in 1929.
She attended college in Las Cruces for two years and taught school at Kentucky Valley School for two years.
On Dec. 25, 1932, she and Joe H. Aschbacher were married in Portales, in the First Christian Church.
She entered the ministry in 1946 and became a licensed evangelist in the Church of God of Prophecy.
