WOODVILLE-Karen L. Sampson,41, a receptionist and homemaker, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the emergency room of St. Charles hospital. She suffered an apparent heart attack at her home and died shortly after arrival at the hospital. Death was unexpected.
Mrs. Sampson resided at 222 Lime St. and had been a receptionist in Dr. Carl Grubaugh' s office the last 12 years.
An autopsy has been ordered by the Lucas County coroner.
Born in Woodville, March1, 1943, she was a daughter of Adam and Dora (Hutton)Decker. She was a member of the Woodville United Methodist Church and graduated from Woodmore High School.
On Sept. 1, 1962 she married Ronald C. Sampson, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer L., at home; her mother, Dora Decker of Woodville; and six sisters, Jean Fulop, Maumee; Thelma Shaw, Marjorie Gappa, Marian Ickes and Ruth Riffle all of Woodville and Alice Kimball, Elmore.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Heineman-Mollgard Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., with the Rev. Richard L. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
The family suggested that any memorial tributes be to the American Diabetes Association.
