Roxana "Roxey" Brown was the wife of Alexander Humphrey. Per her tombstone, she died at 78 years old. Roxana was the daughter of Captain John Brown and Hannah Owen Brown of Connecticut. She and Alexander migrated after the end of the Revolutionary War from Connecticut to Durham, Greene, New York. They then moved a couple of miles further west to the town of Manorkill, Schoharie, New York, where they bought a farm and set up a hotel.
