Lonnie R. Perry, 52 of Carl Junction, Mo. died at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

He was born March 13, 1960 in Pittsburg, Kan. the son of Lenard and Fern Deckard Perry.

He attended are schools in West Mineral, Kan. and graduated from Southeast High School in 1978. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in history from Pittsburg State University.

He served in the U.S. Army.

At the time of his death he worked for Able Mfg. in Joplin.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother John.

Survivors include his mother Fern Perry of Columbus, Kan., five sisters: Maxine Perry of Columbus, Gloria Hayward of Altamont, Kan., Brenda Fry of Chetopa, Kan., Barbara Phillips and Connie Bennett both of Columbus, his long time companion Petra Niegisch and Children of Carl Junction and close friends Bill and Tina Emerson and Children of Pittsburg, Kan., along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, Kan. with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Friends are requested to meet at the Cemetery for the services. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses. Services by Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Columbus.
