Census records show the mother as Estella "Stella" (Adams); but she was his step-mom; a woman that his father; (Mark) married.
Buss' Father; (Marcus) and Mother; (Grace Irene Young )were never married to each other. However She later wed Marcus' younger brother; George Edgar Richardson when Buss was about 13 years old.

"Buss" as he was known; first married Voila Ellen Boddy; in 1922. She was affectionately referred to as "Vi." Two daughters were born to them. Viola (Nola)Helen And Merolyn.

Buss was a collector of fine guns, and prize Palomino horses. He and his second wife, Louise had a ranch at Ames Lake, WA. Where he raised his Palominos. He was known to be a daredevil, or risk taker. For a time he was involved in Regional Rodeos.
Sadly; he was thrown from one of his horses and died at the young age of 46.
