Dorcie Ellen Davis, 90, of Clendenin, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at home. She was the daughter of the late Henry Lewis Harper and Annie Estella Dunlap Harper. Dorcie was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Davis; brothers, Homer, Talbert, Elon and John Henry Harper; sisters, Wanetta Harper, Meureal Tawney, Alma Butcher, June Parsons, Hona Lue Davis, Laverne Lyall, Anna Harper, Laura Cook, Ruth Fay Falls and Minnia King.

Survivors include her son, Daniel C. Davis and wife Barbara, of Clendenin; daughter, Cora B. Generous and husband John of Canton, Ohio; brother, Ron Harper; grandchildren, Charles, Douglas, Charlene, Daniel, and John; great grandchildren, David, Wesley, Kristen, Christopher, Brandon and Emily.

Dorcie's funeral service was held at 11:00 am Monday, December 3, 2012, at Matics Funeral home in Clendenin with Rev. Ralph Davis officiating. Burial followed at the Blue Knob Cemetery in Clay, WV.
