George Talkington, aged seventy years, a highly respected resident of Alert, died Monday afternoon after an illness of considerable duration of cancer. The deceased is survived by two sons, Bert and Rome, of near Burnsville, and a daughter, Mrs. Winnie [Vinnie] Burns, of Alert. The funeral services will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Christian church in Alert, with interment in the Mt. Olivet cemetery.
