Beulah Powell Burton, age 85, of 3056 Howard P. Anderson Road, Halifax, died December 27 at Berry Hill Nursing Home. Mrs. Burton was born in Halifax County on August 4, 1915, the daughter of Robert Wyley Powell and Toy Lee Ingram Powell and was married to John Burton. She was a member of Winns Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Michael Burton of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Kerry Ann Burton and Timothy Michael Burton, both of Winston-Salem.
A funeral service for Mrs. Burton will be held today, December 29 at 2 p.m. at Winns Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Welch officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
