Mildred C. Pinson, 103, of Cathlamet, passed away April 23, 2008. She was born Dec. 31, 1904, to James H. and Alma C. (Underwood) Johnsey in Ellerslie, GA.

She moved to Cathlamet nine years ago from Birmingham, AL, and was a member of the Methodist Church. She was employed for 41 years at Loveman, Joseph & Loeb Department Store as manager of receiving, retiring in 1979. She enjoyed her family, her work, sewing and traveling to see family. She was a true "southern lady".

Surviving are a son, James "Curly" Cochran; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Deceased are her first husband, Wallace Cochran, in 1926; her second husband, Cleveland Pinson; a daughter, Wylodeane Farmer; three brothers; and four sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery, with Dowling Funeral Home in charge.
