Horace L. Brown
CHESNEE--Horace L. Brown, 76, of Route 1 died Sunday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Asheville after a long illness.
Native of Cherokee County; son of the late A. L. and Alice E. Brannon Brown; World War II veteran; a Baptist; retired miner.
Surviving: sisters, Mrs. Faye Jolly of Cowpens, Mrs. Alice White of Clifton, Mrs. Erline Rebels (sic) of Merritt Island, Fla.; brothers, Doyle J. Brown of Chesnee, Linier Brown of Columbia, Paul Brown of Spartanburg.
Services 3 Wednesday at the Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Broughton Strickland and Ronell Owensby; burial in Corinth Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dennis White, Joe Earl and Jerry Wayne Brown, Forest, W. S. and Bill Jolly, Fulton Tate, Geroge (sic) Fowler.
Family is at the home of a brother, Doyle Brown of Chesnee Route 1 and will recive (sic) friends 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Family is at the home of a brother, Doyle Brown of Chesnee Route 1.
Mr. Brown died Sunday.
