MRS. ROSE M. KANE
CANAJOHARIE — Mrs. Rose Marion Kane, 56, widow of Michael Kane, died Friday night at the Amsterdam City hospital where she was taken earlier in the day. She was born in Sprakers May 11, 1889, daughter of Chester and Laura Lambert Surnear, and had lived in this village for a number of years.
Survivors are her mother, Mrs. Dominick Florie; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Polenski, and one son, Michael Kane Jr., recently discharged from the Armed forces; one sister, Mrs. W. C. Joslyn of Groton, Conn.; two brothers, Lee Surnear of this village and Raymond Surnear of Broadalbin. The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the home at 16 West Main street. Rev. Harvey S. Connor, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate and the body will be placed in the vault of the Canajoharie Falls cemetery to await burial in the spring.
