J.W. LAM0RA, NATIVE OF PLATTSBURGH IS DEAD
Joseph W. LaMora, 65, Watertown grocer for the past 17 years, died at his home in that city Tuesday. He had been in ill health with heart trouble for the past three months and for four weeks before his death had been confined to bed.
Mr. La Mora was born in Plattsburgh, Aug. 20, 1870, a son of Joseph and Maria Miner LaMora. When 18 years old he moved to Potsdam where for several years he was employed as a carpenter. He also resided in Canton for about two years.
In 1917 Mr. LaMora moved to Watertown and the following year opened a grocery store.
Mr. LaMora was twice married. His first wife, whom he married at St. Regis Falls on Nov. 5, 1889, was Miss Eva Denicourt. She died in Canton in 1903 and ten years ago he married Mrs. Minnie Fish Capron, who survives.
Surviving him besides his wife are six children, Mrs. Mabel Bradish, Roy LaMora, Mrs. Katherine Gebo and Clarence LaMora, Potsdam; George LaMora, Carthage, and Mrs. Louise LaFave, 907 Washing street. Twenty grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held in Watertown yesterday. Interment was in Potsdam.
