Mr. James D. Gregory, of Willow Springs, Missouri, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 18th at the age of 77 years. He was born on November 12,1934 to Gerald and Ena (Trowbridge) Gregory in Trask, Missouri On June 19, 1955 he married Carolyn Jean Cox in Willow Springs. To this union, four children were born; Donald, Gerald, Bradford, and Brian. From this came thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
James retired from the Missouri State Highway Patrols a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Supervisor after thirty years of service.
Mr. Gregory s a member of the First Church of God, Where he and his family were own for their love of singing. Over the years, James served as a Board Member music and Song Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Secretary.
James loved taking his family on camping trips all throughout the state Missouri. He was also known for his love and talent as a woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant sister; and two brothers, Herbert and Marvin.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Carolyn Gregory of Willow Springs; Four sons Donald Gregory and his wife Beverly of West Plains, Gerald Gregory and his wife Brenda of Willow Springs, Bradford Gregory and his wife Becky of Hannibal, Missouri; and Brian Gregory and his wife Darla of Rogersville, Missouri. His Thirteen grandchildren include Jason Gregory and His wife Sherrie; Matt Gregory and his wife Laura; Brandi Montgomery and her husband Greg all of West Plains; Justin "Skeeter" Gregory and his wife Jeanette of Kodiak, Alaska; "J.V." Gregory of West Plains Corrie Gregory of Hannibal, Missouri; Allyssa Winans and her husband Cole of Broomfield, Colorado; Cody Gregory of Colombia Missouri; Taylor Gregory of Rogersville, Missouri, Kylee Gregory of Modesto, California; Chris Gregory of Bolivar, Missouri Cole Gregory and Lucas Gregory both of Rogersville, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren; Emily, Noah, Gavin, Landon, Tyler, Christian Ryan and Ellie. Further surviving are his two sisters; Juanita Geraldine; his five brothers Jack, Larry, Ivan, and Mike; and numerous nieces nephews.
