WILLIAM J O'NEILL of Indialantic, FL died at the William Childs Hospice House. He was a retired, U.S. Air Force veteran and retired Crew Chief with Civil Service at Homestead AFB. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor of Indialantic; son, John of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Sharon Gristey of Canada, Peggy Jaskolka of Vero Beach, FL, Claudia Hersloff of Melbourne Beach, FL and Diane Mohamodioun of Atlanta, GA; step-daughters, Eleanor Calabrese of Brandon, FL, Susan Davis, PhD of Gainesville, FL, Laura Swindell of Ft White, FL; step-sons, Robert Gaffney of Port St Lucie, FL and Matthew Gaffney of Wellington, FL; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia and daughter, Nancy Chalk. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated November 20, 2012 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic. Burial with Military Honors will be November 21, 2012. Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne, FL is serving the family. Published in FLORIDA TODAY on November 18, 2012.
