Soviet diplomat, statesman and politician. A member of the Russian Communist Party (Bolshevik) from 1919. In 1931 he graduated from the Faculty of Textile Industrial Academy in 1932 - the Moscow Textile Institute In 1931-1935, the Director of the Industrial Academy named Molotov [citation 37 days]. In 1940 the foreign service: up to 1941 headed the department of American countries, with the People's Commissariat of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of the USSR in Canada (1944-1946), the UK (1946-1952), the U.S. (1952- 1958). Since 1958, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the USSR. Candidate member of the CPSU Central Committee (1952-1958).
