Walter H. McGlaughlln
Walter H. McGlaughlin died suddenly Sunday morning at 7:30 of coronary acclusion at his home, 126 Alexander street, aged 46 years. He had been in ill health for a year but had been working until two weeks ago. He was a crane operator in the Western Maryland shops where he had been employed for 30 years.
Mr. McGlaughlin was born in Fairfield, Pa., the son of Charles H., and Amanda M. (Smith) McGaughlin. He spent his early life in Highfield and came to Hagerstown 19 years ago.
He was a member of Washington Square Methodist Church, Co. 805 of Minute Men and the Washington Square bowling team.
Besides his wife, Margaret M.(Fitz) McGlaughlin, he is survived by a daughter, Ella Corrine, at home; son, Cpl. Jack McGlaughlin, Columbia, S. C.; brothers and sisters,
Charles C., Hagerstown; Lawrence, Glenn, Ira, Mrs. Charles
Brown and Mrs. Lawrence Warren, all of Highfield.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at
Washington Square Methodist Church, the Rev. M. A. Keeseckor
officiating; interment in Rest Haven cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the church from 1 o'clock Wednesday until the time of the funeral.
