Marion M. (Schermerhorn) Bradley, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2011, in Lancaster, California. She was born May 8, 1915, in Gloversville, New York, to Howard and Jenny (Barclay) Schermerhorn. She graduated from Gloversville High School in 1932 and married the love of her life, Lemuel F. Bradley on August 8, 1936, her husband of 69 years until his passing on March 5, 2006. Their daughter, Joan Marylyn Bradley was born on November 6, 1937. Marion (affectionately known as Ami to her family and close friends) worked most of her career in the healthcare field as an LVN and later in clerical positions at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. In 1986, Marion and her husband decided to follow their daughter and her family to sunny southern California and moved to the Antelope Valley. Over the course of her nearly twenty-five years in California, she has made and shared a lifetime of memories with her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren. Ami was an incredible woman, who adored her family and loved her God with all her heart, mind, and soul. Now resting in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Ami leaves behind her daughter, Joan Carlton and son-in-law, William Carlton Sr.; grandchildren, Jenni (Carlton) Moran and her husband, Jim, Lori (Carlton) Mowry and her husband, Cliff, William Carlton Jr. and his wife, Donna, and Christy Carlton and her partner, Annie Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Lauren (Greenman) Karnstedt and her husband, Charles, Leanna (Greenman) Moser and her husband, Jimmy, Bradley Carlton and his wife, Cindy, Ean Schroeder, Ashley Moran, Alex Schroeder, and Maegen Mowry; and great-great-grandchildren, Blake Moser, Dylan Karnstedt, and twins Bailey and Brady Moser; in addition to several nieces and nephews including, Rev. Benard I. (Faith) Schermerhorn of Warrensburg, Wayne D. (Suzanne) Schermerhorn of Gloversville and Howard (Grace) Schermerhorn of Chicago, Ill. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Grace Chapel in Lancaster, the church Ami called home. Interment immediately followed at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Palmdale.
