Matilda Abraham died Sunday, October 8th, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Glenn Page of Garden City following an illness of only a few days.
The deceased was the daughter of Louise and Gottlieb Abraham and was born near Smiths Mill on November 27th, 1884. She resided in the community in which she was born for a number of years and leaves many friends and neighbors who sincerely mourn her passing. While a resident of the Smiths Mill community, she lived wither brothers John and Emil Abraham. About a year ago, she went to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Page.
She leaves to mourn her passing four sisters and five brothers as follows: Mrs. Glenn Page, Garden City; Mrs. Frank Grunske, Minnesota Lake; Mrs. Herman Dittburner, Beauford; Mrs. Henry Geckler, St. Clair; and Gust Abraham of Ashby; Louis Abraham of Dent; Herman Abraham, Wheaton; John and Emil Abraham, Smiths Mill.
The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one-thirty from the German Lutheran church of Smiths Mill, The pallbearers were six nephews of the deceased. Interment took place in Janesville cemetery.
