Eleanor Glotfelty Robey was born June 8, 1904, in Garrett County the daughter of Carrie and Joseph Thaddeus Glotfelty. She went to college at Western Maryland in Mt Airy, Carroll co, Md where she met and Married John Murray Robey in 1926. She was an educator and taught school and young people for most of her life. The couple settled in Woodridge, a community of NE Washington, DC where they raised four children: Eleanor Jane (Flemister);
Elizabeth Joan (Betsill); Elaine Joy (Klingaman); John Murray Robey Jr. Eleanor Robey died in 1989 from cancer and was buried next to her husband in Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
