Joseph Luther McCormick was the son of Robert Steel McCormick and Evelyn Clyde Nunn McCormick.
He married Emma Pearl Reed on Aug. 2, 1928 in Charleston, West Virginia and together they had 8 children.
He married Juanita Jones on May 17, 1962.

Joseph Luther McCormick, 70, of Charleston
died Wednesday at the home of a nephew.
Robert McCormick, of Cleveland, after
a short illness.
He was a retired employee of the True
Temper Corp. and a lifelong resident of the
Charleston area.
Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Jo Ann Gibson
Mrs. Patsy R. Haas and Mrs. Florence
L. Tully of Charleston, Mrs. Brenda J. Blizzard
of Frederick. Colo.Mrs. Delores J.
Thaxlon of Franklin, Ind.; sons, Edwin C.
and Wallace Lee of Charleston, Joseph L. of
Nitro; sister. Mrs. Orlena Marsh of South
Charleston.
Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
in Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray
Humphreys officiating. Entombment will be
in.Tyler Mountain Memory Garden Mausoleum.
Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
