Vigil services for Frances Joseph Mulvey, 74, were held at 7 p.m. on Apr 24, 1979, at Stokes Mortuary Chapen in Renton, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances was held Wednesday, April 25, at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Renton.
Francis, a resident of Seattle, died at Valley General Hospital . He was born May 16, 1904, in Stephen, Minnesota, and graduated from Stephen High School in 1923. He farmed in the Stephen area with his parents untill 1928. He then moved to Tacoma, Washington. He married Mary Williams of Blackduck, Minnesota, on April 30, 1930, in Renton. He was a retired building contractor. He came to the Bryn Mawr area in 1933. (a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. It is in the Seattle metro area.) He was employed at Barbee Mill from 1931 to 1957), then worked as a home construction contractor until his retirement in 1969. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union and was active in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Renton. Renton is about 25 miles from Seattle.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Seattle; a son Patrick, of Gardena, California; two daughters, Mrs Maureen Benett of San Rafael, California, and Mary Frances Connors of Manila, Phillipine Islands; two foster sons; Dr. James Reader of Mt. Vernon, Washington, and Dr. John Reader of Lewiston, ME; and four grandchildren.
Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park, Renton, under the direction of the Stokes Mortuary.
