Kathryn M. Weaver, 86, Wakarusa, died 4:20 p.m. Tues. Nov. 6, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor.

She was born Aug. 29, 1926 in Elkhart Co. to Ralph & Edna (Pletcher) Abel. S

he married Theodore "Ted" Weaver on Sept. 19, 1943 and he died June 24, 1990.

Surviving are her son, Larry (Mardell) Weaver, Elkhart, brother, Dr. Robert (Betty) Abel, Wakarusa, grandsons, Tim (Jennifer) Weaver, Nappanee, Todd (Michele) Weaver, Mentor, Ohio and 4 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and brother, Paul Abel.

Kathryn worked at the Wakarusa Medical Clinic for 35 years and was owner/operator of a Dairy Queen and Weaver's Hatchery. She was incredibly proud of her family and enjoyed being a grandma and great-grandma. She was a member of the Wakarusa United Methodist Church, a big supporter of NorthWood Athletics and meticulously maintained her residence.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. Sat. Nov. 10, 2012 at the Wakarusa United Methodist Church.

Pastor Ed Geleske will officiate and burial will be in Olive (West) Cemetery.
