Mary Potts (abt 1683-1762)of Llangurig, WALES was the orphaned daughter of Elizabeth Unknown (NOT McVeagh) and John Potts of Wales (abt 1658-bef 1698) who died in Wales persecuted for his religions beliefs. She did not have an "F" in her name. She came to the colonies with her 4 orphaned siblings on the ship "William Galley" in 1698, under the care of Friends, David Powell and John Morris. She was assigned to the Friends family of Isaac Shoemaker (one of the original 13 founding families of Germantown, PA) until she reached the age of majority
First Husband Matthias Tyson was born 6 mo 3 1686 at Germantown He settled in Abington Township and died there about April or May 1727 in the forty first year of his age
they married on 1st mo [March] 29, 1708 at Abington Monthly Meeting, Philadelphia, PA
They had 11 children.
