He was born May 10, 1927, in Marion, S.C., son of the Kemp and Marie Johnson Collins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee with the Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was a member of the Promise Baptist Church. He was married to Mildred Louise Sarvis Collins, who preceded him in death Jully 2, 2000.
Surviving are a son, ; two grandsons, ;three sisters brother, of, Cherry Grove Beach, S.C., and One brother of Marion, S.C. And one brother if Korea.
Funeral will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday at the Promise Baptist Church by the Rev. Donald Pucket. Burial will be in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will be at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral until taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, and at oher times at the residence.
