William R. Spencer, 65, of 229 Harrison, a retired tester with Westinghouse Corp., died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Spencer, born in Hardin County Oct. 4, 1899, was the son of Richard J. and Dora (Gossard) Spencer.

He was married to Eunice P. Spencer, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Maj. Richard T. Spencer, U.S. Marine Corp., Beaufort, S. C., and Rev. Donald L. Spencer of Austinburg; two daughters, Mrs. Dwight (June) Ketcham of 115 S. Shawnee and Mrs. LaJoie (Joann) Hurlburt of 1224 E. Market; two brothers, Delbert Spencer of Waynesfield and Harry Spencer of 526 S. Pine and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Reiff of Bellefontaine.

Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Lewis Memorial Chapel of Chiles and Son - Laman Funeral Home, Rev. Donald Collins officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Friends may call at Lewis Memorial Chapel after noon today.
