Born in Mt. Murphy, Virginia

Addison was a Civil War veteran. When he enlisted on Oct. 22, 1861 he was living in Abingdon, Illinois. His rank was Private and he enlisted into Company K, 55th Infantry Regiment Illinois and he mustered out on Oct. 13, 1864 in Atlanta, Georgia. His length of service was 2 years, 11 months and 21 days.

CALLISON--Addison F. Callison died at the Soldiers' Home hospital Saturday afternoon at the age of 80 years. Mr. Callison has been a resident of the Boise valley for the past 18 years, spending most of that time on a farm near Meridian. He has been a member at the Soldiers' Home for the past five years and during the Civil war served in the 55th Illinois volunteer infantry. Surviving him are four children, George and Frank of Glenns Ferry, Mrs. Carry Hebden of Nampa, and Charles E. Callison, of Boise. The funeral will be held at the Summers & Krebs chapel Monday at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. J. H. Ross. Burial will be in the Meridian cemetery.

Addison F. Callison, 80 years of age, who died Saturday at the Soldiers' home hospital in Boise, was buried in the Meridian cemetery Monday. Mr. Callison formerly lived here.
