Josie G. Aguirre, 62, of Mathis died Wednesday, July 17, 2002.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Saturday) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mathis at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Descanso Eterno Cemetery No. 2. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Villarreal, Alfonso Muñoz, Tommy, Miguel and Abel Aguirre and Johnny Joe Garcia.
Mrs. Aguirre was born on April 12, 1940, in Cotulla to Miguel and Isabel (Coronado) Gutierrez. She was a housewife and a Catholic.
She is survived by her four daughters, Elsa A. (Fernando) Balboa of Corpus Christi, Carla Zavala of Lubbock and Alma Rosa (Jose) Sandoval and Monica Aguirre, both of Mathis; three sons, Miguel, Pedro and Aldo (Angelica) Aguirre, all of Mathis; two brothers, Raul and Flavio Gutierrez, both of Mathis; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
