John Howard Hillis
John Howard Hillis, Topeka, formerly of the Emporia area, died Wednesday in a Topeka hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Parker mortuary in Topeka and graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Fruitland Cemetery west of Americus.
Mr. Hillis, who was born Jan. 9th, 1896, in Greenfield, Tenn., is survived by his wife Hazel, of the home; five sons, Kenneth and Dean, of Topeka; Ralph, of Sacramento, Calif.; Lawrence, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Homer, of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Marjorie Hubrig and Trudy Curtis, Topeka, and 24 grandchildren.
