BEAN, Wiley Jackson (Private, Company "E" 13th Alabama Infantry Regiment "Randolph Rangers"). Born March 15, 1823 in Jasper County, Georgia - died of scurvy in prison January 13, 1864 at Ft. Delaware Maryland. His name is on a list of Confederate soldiers who are buried at Finn's Point, Salem, New Jersey. The U.S. erected a monument to mark the burial place of 2,436 Confederate soldiers who died at Ft. Delaware. Wiley J. Bean's name is listed on the Confederate Monument.
