Ruth Viola Nelson Harrison, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died August 4, 2002, age 82. She died of causes incidental to age (diabetes)in Grand Junction, CO.
Ruth was born September 21, 1919 in Strathmore, CA to Carl E. and Elsie Marie Baker Nelson.
She married Raymond B. Harrison on January 29, 1938 in Mission,California.
She loved her family, reading, latch-hook, cats, gardening and canning.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, nine children: Charlene R. Olorenshaw (Joe), R. Lucille Hatfield, Charles R. Harrison (Neva), Raelene R. Powell (Kent), Dan R. Harrison (Shuanee), Ed R. Harrison (Judy), Royal R. Harrison (Jill),Chrys R. Ragsdale and Viola R. Harrison. She has 28 grandchildren, 21 gt-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson to be born in December of 2002. She is preceeded in death by one grandchild, Celia Ann Hatfield Graft.
She requested to be cremated. A memorial service was held for the family members in Green River, Utah.
Her ashes have since been buried with her husband in 2008.
