SUNSET OVER MAUIAloha MomToday is the Fifth anniversary of your passing and I just lit my yahrzeit candle in your memory. Today, 6/26/06, there was a beautiful sunset here on Maui and I wanted to share it with you, but decided to make you a part of it. Remembering all the wonderful times with you and dad here on Maui when I was a child. I'm remembering especially you sitting on the beach sewing me the sole-less thongs with the light orange flowers as I played in the ocean. Your spirit is missed very much by me and I think of you all the time, especially living on the hillside above the Maui Sheraton where you sewed those thongs. Cherished in my heart forevermore, Sandra Jewel (June 26, 2006)

Remembering the “many faces of mom” on this 3rd Mother’s Day (2004) without you. These pictures were taken in one of your favorite places “Maui” where I now reside. Remembering you, but not forgotten, on this Mother’s Day and how I read to you what the word mother meant. May the angels above always watch over you. Your spirit still remains in my heart. With all my love, Sandra Jewel

Today is the second Mother's Day without you. I reminisce of the last two weeks we had together -- giving my all to comfort you -- funny, I felt the closest to you those two weeks -- you laying there so beautiful, yet helpless, soaking up all the love I had to give. I hope you're at peace now. I'll never forget the at-one-ment I felt within while nurturing you then. It was the love I always wanted between us. I miss your zesty energy for life. Rest peacefully knowing your guided energy brought me to my new home on the Island of Paradise, Maui, with all the memories we had together here -- as the waves break, I think of us holding hands together jumping over each one. Loving you always, your daughter.

Mama Dear .. now you are freed from your
suffering ...

"When someone dies, people disappear, but they never
really go away.

A cloud turns into an angel, and flies up to tell God to
put another flower on a pillow.

The spirits up there put the sun to bed, wake up grass,
and spin the earth in dizzy circles.

BIRDS give the message back to the world, and sing a
silent prayer that makes the rain cry.

Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during
the daytime, when they're supposed to be sleeping.

They paint the rainbows and sunsets, make waves splash
and tug at the tide.

They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes.

When they sing wind songs, they whisper
to us .. 'don't miss me too much, because .....

on every shooting star
rainbow and sunset in the sky
the sea rushing into the shore
clouds in the sky
rain rushing down to earth
the wind blowing across
your face ..

you'll know I am thinking of you and sending my love.'"

From your baby daughter --
Forever in my heart and soul,
