George T. Ferrell, 76, of Rogersville, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wayne McBee, in Sewanee, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mollie Ferrell, Rogersville; three daughters, Mrs. McBee, Mrs. John Glowacki, Willowick, Ohio, and Mrs. Walter L. Winstead, Rogersville; three sons, Alf and Bill Ferrell of Rogersville, and George E. Ferrell of Ellicott City, Md.; one stepson, Thomas J. Palmer of Church Hill; one brother, Rev. Alf Ferrell of Surgoinsville; 22 grand-children.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogersville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Bapist Church in Rogersville. Rev. Clyde Long and Rev. James Pitts will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery. The body was taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter L. Winstead, at 4 p.m. Wednesday from Nash-Wilson Funeral Home.
George was preceded in death by sons, James Henry Ferrell and John J. Ferrell.
