Wife Hears From Mate, Prisoner Of Japanese

In a short wave radio message from a Japanese prison camp, an El Paso Soldier as a Japaneses prisoner asked his wife to pray that the war will be over soon. The message was from Tokyo to Mrs. Rachael Burrola of 500 Fruits street by her husband Sgt. Joseph M. Burrola. she said, "The Sergeant is held in a prison camp in the Philippians." Another brother ,Willam Burrola, of the captured soldier is at the same camp. Sgt. Burrola left for the Philippines in August of 1940. He is a member of the 200th Coast Artillery of New Mexico. A native of New Mexico. Sergeant Burrola has three children Corina, Dolores and Joseph Jr. In the message, the soldier advised Mrs. Burrola that he was fine. "Say hello to my relatives. Gets lonesome thinking of you the message said."
