Staff Sergeant, 349th Bomber Squadron, 100th Bomber Group, Heavy, United States Army Air Forces. While on a mission to Rosieres-En-Santerre (NW France), he served as the Radio Operator/Gunner. "Miss Lollipop" was hit by flak over the French Coast after the completion of their mission on June 12, 1944. They were forced to ditch into the English Channel. Only two crewmen were rescued. He was the recipient of the Air Medal and Purple Heart. Entered the service from Texas. His name is on the Tablets of the Missing.
