Miss Ethel Lucille Gibson, student in the Newton High School, passed away at Bethel hospital this morning at 8:30 AM, as the result of an ruptured appendix. She was born Jan.26, 1923 in Caddo County Oklahoma and was 15 years, 11 months and 3 days of age.
Since the death of her mother five and one half years ago Ethel Lucille and her three sisters Grace Marie, Dora Ruth and Edith Marilyn, have made thier home with their aunt and uncle Mr. & Mrs William H. Grove, Route 1, Newton.
Their mother was formaly Helen Rose Meyer of Halstead. The father James Burton Gibson survives and resides in Oklahoma City. Also surviving are the three sisters mentioned and grandparents Mr. & Mrs Nathan Gibson,Sayre Oklahoma and William H. Meyer of Anadarko Oklahoma.
Furneral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Zion Evangelical church on highway 50, west of Newton in charge of the Rev. F. W. Kaiser of El Dornado, former pastor, assisted by the Rev. W.T. Morti, pastor of the church of which Miss Gibson was a member. Friends may see Ethel Lucille at the Moddy- Hinit Funeral Chapel any time friday evening.
