GENEVA—David Moore, 80, dean of Geneva's automobile dealers, of 57 High St. died last night at Geneva General Hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Moore was a life-long resident of Geneva. He was a graduate of Cook Academy and Rochester Business Institute. The Geneva Auto Company was incorporated in 1906. Mr. Moore went with the company in 1909, and at the time of his death, was president of the company. The Geneva Auto Company is one of the oldest dealerships in the United States.
He is a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Geneva, and had served on the Board of Trustees for 25 years. He was active in the YMCA and the Geneva Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Geneva Rotary Club, Geneva Conservation Club, and was an ardent hunter and fisherman all his life.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effa F. Moore; three daughters, Mrs. Mark (Christine) Powell of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Lester (Ruth Ann) Vierling of Newport Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Philip (Effa) Hawes of New Bedford, Mass.; two sons, David Moore Jr. of Rochester and Marshall W. Moore of Geneva...; one brother, Dr. James A. Moore of Ithaca; and several nieces.
