According to the Carrolltonian newspaper of Westminster, MD, 17 May 1850, Elizabeth Low died at the home of her son, David, in Utica, Knox, Ohio on 18 Mar 1850. She was taken back to St. Joseph's (in Perry County) for burial. I have been to St. Joseph's and didn't find a stone for her. Contributor: Al Burgoon (48548884) • [email protected]
According to Al Burgoon's note, Elizabeth Low Burgoon, 1764-1850, ID 8236781, died in Utica, Licking County, Ohio, not Utica Township, Clark County, Indiana. The two locations are approximately 244 miles apart. The railroad was still in its early stages. Somehow I doubt the family would have spent the money to ship her body back to Ohio for burial.
