1968 he was assigned to Hotel Company, 2nd
Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine
Division.
Hotel Company was participating in Operation
Cameron Falls when they countered hostile
forces and Dennis died as a result of multiple
fragmentation wounds to the body from a
hostile grenade.
