Theodore Charles Peter, 61, of Fayetteville died Monday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 29, 1939, at Lake Village, the son of Theodore Edward and Mary Lou Deford Peter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Rosiere Peter, on May 22, 1994.
He was an employee of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and a Mason. He was a teacher, having taught at the University of Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas Community College. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by one son of Fayetteville; one daughter of Centerville, Va; and one grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Anthony Holifield officiating. Burial will be held in Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore's Chapel.
