Olivia was the daughter of Margaret A. NELSON and George Washington COLLIER. She married William Elijah CHISUM on 23 Jun 1865, in Cherokee County, Texas. William Elijah and Olivia had nine children: William Eads, Fannie L., Mary Elizabeth (Molly), John Andrew, Lula Elizabeth, Alice Laura, Lora Bell, Albert Washington, and Jesse Britton Chisum. Their children were born in Limestone, Grayson, and Erath Counties, Texas. They moved to Russell, Greer County, Texas, in the 1890s; but in 1896, the U.S. Supreme Court determined that Greer County belonged to Oklahoma Territory, therefore becoming part of the State of Oklahoma when Oklahoma was admitted to the Union in 1907.
