~SPECIAL FAMILY MEMBER~

These years together
We've lived and learned,
Grown wiser,
Loved deeply.
We will find our patch of Sunshine
In a better place and time.
You'll greet me at the Door
And I'll hold you to my heart once again.
Thank you, precious friend,
For the time,
the life,
the love you shared
with me.

Victor an orphan was adopted on August 11, 1995 about 2:00pm and was only about four to six weeks old. We got him off of my great-aunt's farm at the time. (We adopted him along with one other, sadly enough they were the only two of all of the kittens from the farm to survive that year.) He was extremely weak and infested with lice, so the poor little thing had at least two baths the first day at his new home. He had lost his back left leg from the ankle area down because they said he was found with wire wrapped around it. Unfortunately they were not smart enough to have unwrapped it, they ended up cutting him free. He only had three full legs, but adjusted very well. He was a beautiful kitty-cat snowy white coloring with gorgeous markings. He was a wonderful companion to me, a very special friend and so very loving. You couldn't have asked for a better relationship with a pet than what we had together. He has been an important part of our family over the years. He was always there for you no matter what happened along the way. He almost seemed to watch out over me time and time again, worrying that something may happen to me. So sweet of him, and he made me feel extra special to be thought of so much by him. After several years of going down hill, we finally decided that it was time for him to move on to a much better place. We just couldn't see making him suffer any longer, we loved him way to much to do that to him for us to selfishly keep him with us. So we said our heart felt goodbye's and spent our last day all together. Our darling Vicky Boy could never be replaced. We miss him with all of our hearts. We thank our lucky stars to have been able to have shared our lives along with him for the time we had together. We hope he is with his darling brother in heaven now, lord knows they have been apart for about three and half years. We are sure it was an extra special reunion between the two of them. He will always remain within our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Victor's photograph lying on our piano won an award for a pet contest years ago in a national magazine! As well as a local pet contest held through our newspaper which he was featured in one of the twelve month spots! We were very proud of him.
