Miguel was born in Los Angeles and grew-up in
La Mirada,where he graduated with the Class
of 1965 from John H Glen High School.
Miguel was working at the Douglas Aircraft
Company in Long Beach,when he received his
draft notice from the Local Draft Board #115,
Downey,CA.
Arriving at the Los Angeles AFEES Miguel was
drafted into the Marines 11 January 1966.He
graduated March 1966 with Platoon 214 from
the San Diego MCRD.
Upon arriving in Vietnam,Miguel was assigned
to Echo Company,2nd Battalion,1st Marine
Regiment,1st Marine Division.
Miguel died of multiple fragmentation wounds
to his entire body from an explosive device,
during a combat operation while in the vicinity
of Duong Son(2),8 kilometers south southwest Danang Airfield.
Miguel was single and served his country for
11 months and 7 days.
Tour of duty date unknown.
Miguel was 20 years,3 months and 20 days old.
Requiem Mass was held at the St Paul of the
Cross Catholic Church.
Funeral services conducted by the Chapel of
Memories of Norwalk,CA.
Survived by his parents;Robert & Ada N Burri,
a brother;William and 2 sisters;Olga Nilda and
Linda of 13016 Edwards Road,La Mirada,CA.
His grandmother;Hortensia Valle of Los
Angeles,CA.
