1916 Train Accident
Auto is Struck by Bamberger
Salt Lake, Aug 4.-- Mrs C A Brunson of Fillmore was seriously injured yesterday afternoon when the automobile in which she and five others were riding was struck by a north bound passenger train on the Salt Lake & Ogden interurban about 3:45 o'clock at Cleverly crossing, between St Joseph and Bountiful. The automobile was wrecked, but the other passengers escaped with bruises and minor injuries. Mrs Brunson was injured internally and suffered several severe bruises. She was brought to Salt Lake and taken to a local hospital. The other occupants of the automobile were Harvey Brunson, Ardella and Beatrice Brunson, Mabel Smith and a Mrs Morrison of Cleverly.
According to reports made by members of the train crew, the automobile was traveling northward, the same dirction as the train, and turned upon the crossing ...

Born December 15, 1900, Woods Cross, Utah, to Hyrum and Clarissa Ann Howard Brunson. Married William [Edw] Salter, January 15, 1918, Salt Lake City; he died 1922. Married Theodore Anderson, 1923 Salt Lake City, he died 1957. Member, LDS Church.
Survivors: three daughters, Mrs. J. Whitney (Vivian) Hanks, Murray, Utah; Mrs. Douglas N. (Marjorie] Pierce, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Edward J. (Beverly) Morgan, Torrance, California; Ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Glen (Clarissa) Mellen.
Funeral services Saturday, 12:00 Noon, Murray 23rd LDS Ward Chapel, 775 Three Fountains Drive (900 East 4960 South), where friends may call from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. Funeral Directors: Berg-Sunset Lawn Mortuary. Interment: Berg-Sunset Gardens of the Valley.
