Roland Antoine Badeaux passed away on Sunday, November 14 2010, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Age 84 years, a native of Larose, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA for the past 68 years. Beloved husband of Ethel (Tee) Hymel Badeaux of 63 years. Father of Randall (wife Marian) Badeaux, and Barry Badeaux. Son of the late Dolcina Hebert Badeaux and Alcibiade Badeaux. Preceded in death by twelve sisters and two brothers. Master of Tiger. Mr. Badeaux was retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a US Navy veteran and served during WWII Pacific Theatre Campaign and was a captain of the Higgins boat landing craft. He was an avid outdoorsman and bird watcher. For many years "Coach" Badeaux volunteered at the Westwego Baseball Park leading teams from Little League thru Babe Ruth Leagues and JPRD West All-Stars. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA, on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Visitation on Thursday morning after 11:00 AM until Mass time. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
