Banking for many years, first in Manhattan, NYC, and then for a time as President of the Essex Savings Bank, Essex, Conn.; owned Riverside Hardware, Inc. in Essex and Mystic from 1965 to 1979. Husband of Julianne Ramsey Bishop (1925-2003), father of Ramsey Bishop Tremalgia (1950-1995) and Ethan F. Bishop (1954- ) A hard working man, a great father, and dearly missed.
Cause of death: Colon cancer. Died at his home in Essex with his wife, and son at his side.
As of 2003, Ethan is the only surviving member of the Bishop Family.
