Please also visit "Buddy" Charles Wright and read his bio and perhaps leave him a flower. He was my husband's young cousin who was killed tragically. Thank you.

BELOVED HUSBAND, FATHER AND GRANDFATHER:

Born in Troy, NY to Stanley and Mary Wright Bashford. Survived by brother, Edward M. Bashford and daughter, Michelle A. Bashford Althiser. At the time of his passing, Jim was the husband of Karen Sommers-Bashford (now LaMountain). Special grandpa to Brenna Mascord. Jim was educated in Troy schools and was a mover for most of his life. He worked at Hannaford Brothers Supermarkets in the Meat Department for two years prior to his passing from colon cancer, after a three-year battle. Jim had colon cancer for approximately five years (undiagnosed) and had been taking care of his mother who had esophagus cancer the entire time.

I knew Jim 25 years before we married. Unfortunately, we didn't get to celebrate our 4th anniversary. He was a quiet soul who liked to spend time at home, but I finally got him to go out to concerts, theatrical plays, and he even got to enjoy Chinese food! Jim will always have a special place in my heart.
***********
After his passing, Jim was blessed with two grandchildren.
Two new pictures are of Jim's grandchildren (born after his passing). Jacy Marie, 8/30/03 and James Joseph 2/14/02.

It was God's will that in Hospice, I met a man whose wife, Shelley, was also a cancer patient. We became good friends and have since married.
I don't get a chance to see Jim's daughter or grandchildren much anymore, but they will always remain in my heart.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO JULIE BURNS WHO SPONSORED
THIS MEMORIAL TO JIM. GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR LOVING KINDNESS, JULIE.
