Erin and I came down later in the year last year, after the heat of the summer had passed. Why do I still cry that you are gone? I'm better about it but still not 100%. I wish I could at least phone you or something. I still miss you like crazy and miss talking to you. I just can't stand it that you are gone.

New flowers to match the new ones I put down on the 18th. Erin was with me. It was a very nice day and we talked some while we were there. I am also keeping up the tradition of flowers on your Mom and Dad's graves, although not on your Dad's family. I'm sure you understand. My grief may be a little better, but I still cry for you. Notice your roommate? Erin's cat Pan died (we don't know why)and she wanted to put him beside you where he always was when we were all living together.

I miss you every day. Erin and I came and left flowers in June, I think it was. Saw and talked to your sister down here while we were here. She hated it that she couldn't come on with us that time. I think I will try to come down in the fall with new flowers. I know you liked mums. I'm finally working on both sides of our family tree now. Trying not to cry for your being gone, even this long afterwards. See you soon, Mom.

Mom, I haven't been able to come to your gravesite as often as I would like. It's winter now; it's either too cold or too muddy, as you well know. I'm trying to get past grieving for you, but I'm still in grief so I do cry for you from time to time.

Sorry I missed your birthday--too muddy. I'm still coming though when the weather is right. I have new fall leaves actually, bright with color, and a Christmas ornament. You know how I despise Christmas; well it's worth less without you to talk to.
