Robert Corneilus Schronce, 72, of Newbern Heights, died Friday morning, May 2, 2003, in Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born May 8, 1930 in Lincolnton, N.C. and was the son of the late Boyd Cornelius Schronce. He was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church where he was active in the Methodist's mens activities. Surviving are mother, Edna Carpenter Schronce of Lincolnton, N.C.; wife, Elizabeth Warren Schronce of Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Mark R. and Sandy Schronce of Pulaski; one granddaughter, Amanda Schronce of Pulaski; and one brother, Edward Schronce of Lincolnton, N.C. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Travis officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Sunday afternoon from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Dublin United Methodist Church, 424 East Main Street, Dublin, Va. 24084. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home of Pulaski.
