Katherine A. Bowser, 92, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 at Melody Manor in Kittanning, PA. She was born August 23, 1930 in Kittanning, the daughter of Donald Norman and Pauline Marie (Talliere) Lasher. Katherine was a lifetime resident of Kittanning and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1949. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and worked for the Butler County Mushroom Farm for 35 years until her retirement in 1992. One of her favorite pastimes - besides spending time with her family - was worldwide traveling. Katherine also loved caring for her home and enjoyed decorating it, especially with her beautiful antiques. She is survived by her sons, Donald L. Bowser and wife, Rosemary, of Kittanning and Randall J. Bowser and wife, Kathy, of Butler; grandson, Patrick Bowser and wife, Heather, of Worthington; granddaughter, Laura Kline and Robert of Butler; great grandchildren, Shiley Cowan and husband, Frankie, Brian Kline and Ashlynn, and Lacie Kline and Zach; great-great-grandchildren, Liam and Ryker; step-granddaughter, Kay Shakely and husband, Tony; step-great-grandchildren, Raymond, Audrey, Sophia, Dominic, Seth and Andrew; brother, Donald W. Lasher and wife, Sue, of Kittanning; and sister, Margaret "Margie" Hunter, of Vandergrift. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 46 years, Roger L. "Bud" Bowser, who passed away September 19, 1995; great-grandson, Anthony Kline; brothers, Robert E. Lasher, Edward J. Lasher and Charles L. Lasher; and sister, Janet L. Lasher. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jeri-Lynne Bouterse officiating. Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pennsylvania. Memorial contributions may be made in Katherine's memory to Alzheimer's Association of Pittsburgh, 2835 E. Carson St., Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 or to Grace Presbyterian Church General Fund, 155 N. Jefferson St., Kittanning, PA 16201.
