Not much is known about Henry "Enlow" Bascom. He died at age 13 just 3 years after his father died. He took sick with pneumonia which was rampid at that time. What a loss for this little family in such a quick time.

The black child's rocking chair belonged to Enlow. Aunt Jennie kept it for many many years. Finally when my sister Vicki was born in 1950, Aunt Jennie passed it on to her. The first photo of the chair was taken in Shelbina, Mo. Second one in Kansas. The chair is prized and cherished by it's owner, Vicki Morris.

I went to visit Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Missouri in 2013. Found Enlow's stone which is fading but could still make out the writing. So glad I got to see it.
